Microsoft Azure
Learn how to connect your account and autonomously manage Azure cloud resources.
Sedai currently supports Azure VMs and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). Select a resource type to learn how to connect your Azure resources:
If you're new to Sedai, create your account to begin onboarding. After entering a username and password, select Microsoft Azure as your cloud provider and choose VM as your resource type.
If you already have a Sedai account, navigate to Settings -> Integrations within Sedai. Click Connect Cloud, then select Microsoft Azure. Choose VM as your resource type.
Once you've selected Azure, do the following:
- 1.Enter an account nickname.
- 2.Enter a Subscription ID: Log into your Azure portal and select Subscriptions on the homepage. You will then see a list of your subscriptions & their corresponding IDs.
- 3.Enter your Tenant ID: Find this by returning to the Azure portal. Search for and select Microsoft Entra ID. Under Basic Information, you will see the Tenant ID.
- 4.Enter your Client ID: From the left-hand navigation panel within Microsoft Entra ID, click App registrations or Enterprise applications (depending on where your application is registered). Identify the Client ID for the application you want to connect.
- 5.Enter your Client Secret: Return to Azure & select the specific application for which you want to view a client secret. Click Certificates & secrets on the lefthand panel to see your client secret.
- 6.Test Connection: Click the Test Connection button to verify your connection works. If the connection fails, please double-check that you've entered the correct information in each field. If the connection is successful, click Next.
Select your monitoring provider from the list and enter the required credentials. See Connect Monitoring Data to learn more about connecting each provider.
Once you've completed each step and clicked Save, topology related to your newly connected Azure account will populate soon.
